Bathong, Diddy and his lawyers are not giving up on his bail release from prison despite it being denied in July 2025. Recently, the rapper's legal team made another request to the judge and laid out some claims of what the star is going through in prison that they deem as a good reason for him to be out until the date of his sentencing in October 2025.

On Monday, 28 July 2025, the star, who was found guilty on 2 out of 5 charges that he faced at the federal court in New York City, had his legal team plead for him to be released on $50 million bail, which is over R893M.

In a post shared by People magazine on Instagram, Diddy's lawyers claimed that he was provoked into violence at the prison, though full details of this incident weren't revealed. It seems, however, that something violent had happened inside, in which the rapper got involved.

"Sean "Diddy" Combs' attorneys asked a judge on Tuesday, July 28, to release him on a $50 million bond while he awaits sentencing for a recent federal conviction on charges of transportation to engage in sexual activities" they wrote.
