Filmmaker and actor Shona Ferguson was celebrated across all social media platforms, four years after his passing.

The former Kings Of Joburg star passed away on Friday, 30 July 2021, due to COVID-19 complications. His memory lives on, thanks to the efforts of his family. His youngest daughter, Alicia Angel Ferguson, penned a loving message on Instagram, 30 July 2025, expressing how much she misses Shona.

"As much as today marks four years since your departure, it feels like yesterday. There’s never a day that I don’t think about you, fah. I love and miss you with all of my heart, and pray that you’ll continue resting in peace, fah."

Alicia Ferguson, who always trends for her dance moves, consistently shows lover to her dad, whether it is on his birthday or when she just misses him. Exactly two years after Sho passed, Ali brought everyone to tears with her tribute post.

"Today marks 2 years since your departure, even though it feels like yesterday. The void never gets better, but I know the presence of God is helping us push forward and be strong. Every day, I’m always expecting you to either call me. I miss harassing you whilst you were working, but I can only pray to God that you are resting in peace, and that you continue to."

Lesedi and Connie remember Shona

In the same trend, Lesedi Matsunyane, daughter of Connie Ferguson, shared a few throwback photos and videos of the memories she shared with the late star, adding that she is still filled with immense grief.

Ferguson reflected on how he would always annoy her whenever he recorded clips.

"The way he used to bother me. I miss you annoying me, Dawg! Thinking about you and missing you has become part of me now, and I’m okay with it. You are UNFORGETTABLE! You are within me, and I LOVE YOU FOREVER. Long live my KING," she wrote.
