The State is opposing Molefe’s bail application on the basis that he is allegedly a dangerous person with no regard for human life. State prosecutor Ngubane indicated that the investigating officers are living in fear for their lives and are currently under 24-hour protection.
Ngubane said the national sentiment is that if Ngubane is freed on bail, it would impact the outcome of the murder trial.
“There’s a huge outcry from social media, with many fearing that his release on bail will impact the case,” said Ngubane.
