As South Africans continue to process Dricus du Plessis’s loss to Khamzat Chimaev, producer and club DJ Prince Kaybee has added his two cents. Prince Kaybee called out Dricus du Plessis for endorsing President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, who have accused South Africa of promoting a white genocide.
Taking to his X account on Sunday, 17 August 2025, Prince Kaybee weighed in on news that a section of South Africans was celebrating Dricus du Plessis’s first professional loss as an MMA fighter. This saw him lose his UFC Middleweight World Champion title belt to Khamzat Chimaev.

Prince Kaybee took to X, asking questions aimed at Dricus du Plessis. He noted that despite differences within South Africa, people generally get along. The Children of the South producer questioned the UFC Middleweight World Champion contender’s reasoning when he supported those spreading falsehoods about South Africa. The post was captioned:

“Why did he lie or carry the white genocide propaganda? We have our differences, but in most cases, people just generally get along. I mean, I have white people who religiously listen to my music, and I appreciate them as people who support me. Why was he embracing the falsehood? Did he not think it would come with some backlash? What was he thinking, man?”

What did Dricus du Plessis say about white genocide in South Africa?
Dricus du Plessis has not directly said anything related to white genocide in South Africa. Briefly News reported that the former UFC Middleweight World Champion publicly supported Elon Musk and Donald Trump.
Sometime this year, Dricus wore a t-shirt with the slogan:
“Trump prefers champions.”
When asked about Donald Trump, Dricus du Plessis spoke highly of the American President and recounted what he had said during their meeting.
“He said good changes are coming. He’s holding many people and countries accountable for everything, and it’s amazing to see," he said at the time.
