TikTok Sensation Skomota Worries Fans After His Sudden Disappearance: “We’re Also Worried About Him”

Bathong, where could he be? The South African popular TikTok dance sensation Skomota made headlines on social media as many netizens began to notice his disappearance from the entertainment industry.

Why did Skomota suddenly disappear?

Recently, according to the Daily Sun, Skomota, whose real name is Thabang Sefala, was reported to have vanished from the music industry just as his career was beginning to gain momentum.

The 26-year-old star was offered a reality TV show on MojaLove, but hasn't been booked and has been busy these past few months, which led to many netizens speculating if he was okay or going through something big, as this was unlike him to not accept paid gigs at certain entertainment establishments.

Speaking to the publication about their concerns regarding Skomota's whereabouts, one of his team members, Moruti Gucci, said that they have been trying to get in contact with the star but failed as his management wasn't picking up their calls.

Moruti Gucci further revealed that they have been declining the gigs they had been getting for the star, and sometimes they would charge an exorbitant price.

"We're also worried about him. His management doesn't respond to calls from us and also event organisers and promoters anymore, and sometimes they would even give out unreasonable booking fees which makes it difficult for Skomota to get gigs," he said.

Morutu further assured the star's fans that he is in good health and still available to work; however, the problem lies with his management team:

"There's nothing wrong with him; people just don't see him as often as they used to, like when his career began, and that is all because he isn't being booked like before."

This isn't the first time Ngwana Sesi has made headlines on social media due to his actions that always leave netizens dumbfounded. In December 2024, he trended after a video of him, where he refused to take to the stage after being booked for that gig, went viral.

Skomota shook his head "no" multiple times while he complained to the different organisers, including the MC. People commented on the video, sharing thoughts on why Skomota would not want to perform. Some netizens ran with speculations that Skomota was being exploited.
