"This step has been taken pending the outcome of an internal process currently underway. The station is committed to following due process, and no further details will be shared at this stage. Updates will be provided once the internal process has been concluded and a final decision has been reached."
It has since come to light that Sol Phenduka was suspended over Minnie Dlamini's R2.5 million lawsuit against Podcast And Chill.
Taking to X on Thursday, 21 August, user @Oriana_RSA said Sol did not say anything that would prompt Kaya 959 to fire him, much less suspend him.
"Honestly, Sol Phenduka didn’t say much about Minnie Dlamini on that episode that would cost him a job at Kaya FM."
Briefly News reported that Sol and MacG discussed Minnie's break-up with Brian Monaisa. MacG made unsavoury remarks about Minnie's private parts, while the other hosts were in awe.

Minnie Dlamini's lawsuit
Dlamini previously told Nandi Madida on The Motherhood Network that GBV starts with how men treat women.
"It starts with how men speak about women," Minnie said. "It cannot be condoned for a man to speak degradingly about a woman for no reason!" Dlamini exclaimed.
Dlamini then said her beef with MacG started when she defended Amanda du Pont.
Mzansi has since relayed its opinions on this matter. @Sparzito said, "Lol Mini is out for blood bro. I feel for her shame, plus she's got maintenance to pay, the economy is tough."·
@DDT mentioned, "The thing is, it’s not what he said, it’s the way he spiced it up for McG. Lowkey, he was just agreeing the whole time."
@Tidoo_Wax claimed, "That was unfair. He didn't do anything wrong."
