Thembinkosi Mthembu and singer Lira took time out of their busy schedules and visited a sick fan in the hospital. The two celebs were spotted in separate videos sitting beside the young lady's hospital bed.

According to TikTok posts from nkosii.no.thando, 19-year-old Noxolo "Noxy" Clara, who is battling kidney failure, had hopes of celebrating her matric farewell with her peers; however, her condition did not allow it.

So, to make her day special, her family and the nurses at Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital brought her matric farewell to her on 17 August 2025 with an unexpected appearance from actor Thembinkosi Mthembu as her date.

He sat beside his date, who was dolled up in a lovely dress, with her hair and makeup done. Mthembu even danced for Noxy, bringing cheer to an otherwise gloomy setting.

Singer Lira also made an appearance at the hospital to share some laughs and perform for young Noxy.

This heartfelt visit was captured in several videos on social media, where fans shared their overwhelming support.

Specialist paediatrician, Dr Nokukhanya Khanyile-Lenake, who was part of the incredible planning, said it was an emotional experience for her:

"As difficult as last week was for me personally, I’m so grateful that I was able to be a part of the planning for such a beautiful soul! And forever more, 17 August with be known as Noxy Day!"
