One fan recently threatened to cut ties with Kaya 959 after Sol Phenduka was suspended.

The Podcast and Chill star and co-host of Siz The World with Sizwe Dhlomo and Mpho Maboi, was suspended with immediate effect on 20 August 2025 and is pending an investigation.

While many fans continue to rally behind their favourite radio host, some have resorted to boycotting the radio station in solidarity.

One online user, SthieHarambe, posted a tweet on 25 August, urging others to cut ties with the station should Sol not be reinstated:

This comes after Briefly News confirmed the real reason Sol was suspended. And as the saga continues, many suspect that he and his fans may have to find a new home soon.
