South Africans react to Bester and Magudumana's application

@mamgqiga said:

"How do they know about it?"

@Llekamania_ reacted:

"What are they afraid of? This documentary is of public interest. We need to know different perspectives on their crimes."

@BbwMaturity commented:

"Plus, I doubt it will say anything new that is not already in the public domain. Showmax did one, I think, because I remember watching it."

@newi_6th replied:

"I don't know, man. I just feel like Netflix should wait till the trial commences? Especially because their source is a former judge? Don’t you think everyone must have their day in court?"

@Calidonny said:

"Where do they get the money? Just wondering, these legal things are super expensive, especially urgent applications."

@Mokongwane reacted:

"I mean, why must you be forced to act on Netflix while you are in prison? Leave them alone, it's their right, what if they escape when shooting the movie?"

@Jikingqina replied:

"So, they still have money to run to the courts?"

@KatlegoKaG wrote:

"Why must their story be told without their consent? The documentary must be stopped."

@BaloyiGoodies commented:

"Netflix must get permission. They cannot make a profit at the expense of other people."

@Somi_Nduna said:

"They also did the same thing to stop the Showmax doccie Tracking Thabo Bester, but the Johannesburg High Court dismissed their application in March 2024. The court ruled that they failed to prove how the documentary, based on public domain info, would prejudice their right to a fair trial."
