Popular broadcaster Sol Phenduka weighed in after the commission of inquiry that is probing the KwaZulu-Natal police boss Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi’s allegations was postponed indefinitely.
Fellow broadcaster Mbuyiseni Ndlozi changed tune and slammed Cyril Ramaphosa after the commission of inquiry chaired by retired Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga stalled. In a statement, retired Justice Madlanga shared that the development wasn’t of the commission’s making, but unfulfilled commitments by the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development.
After the Commission of Inquiry into Criminality, Political Interference, and Corruption in the Criminal Justice System released a statement on Tuesday, 26 August 2025, Sol Phenduka shared a scathing observation.

Netizens weigh in after Sol Phenduka reacts to Madlanga commission stalling
In the comments, several netizens agreed with Sol Phenduka and proposed possible solutions.
Here are some of the comments:
@sto0018 agreed:
“They stalled it because too many hands are dirty 😒 If a Commission meant to clean the criminal justice system can’t even start due to “infrastructure delays”, then it’s not logistics, it’s protection. Rotten system protecting itself.”
@ZolekaMaseko15 said:
“Every delay serves those who fear exposure. If the system were serious about accountability, the Commission would already be running. This stalling only deepens public distrust.”
@LincolnLumbe asked:
“Will the President finish his term? Highly doubtful.”
@Thokoza88288017 argued:
“This is what happens when citizens decide to be docile. We will be spectators as corrupt individuals block accountability. By now, we should be occupying the streets and calling for Ramaphosa to step down. His own comrades are beginning to admit that HE HAS NO SOLUTIONS for the country.”
@AkoDikana questioned:
“What are these things that need to be procured? This is not the first commission we have had. What happened to the equipment that was used in the last commission? Why is procuring the only option? Don't we have other options?”
