On Wednesday, 27 August 2025, the star who recently celebrated 15 years of sobriety turned social media upside down after claiming that DJ Shimza's lawyers seized over R400K from his personal bank account for a comment he made on a eNCA exposé about the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mmamoloko Kubayi.

However, DJ Shimza took the courtesy to respond to Baloyi's claims on social media and said:
