This happened shortly after her TikTok account was banned when netizens reported it under human exploitation; however, Siyamthanda wasn't the only one losing her account, as Cyan Boujee also lost hers, which had 1.8M followers.

This served as a hard lesson to all influencers that they should do their research before chasing a bag that could potentially put many young people in danger because of their actions.

An online user @Paballo_maseko_, who has been actively calling these influencers out and campaigning against them, was the one who shared on X (formerly Twitter) that Siyamthanda and others had deactivated the accounts.

She wrote:

"They heard we're going for Instagram too, now they're deactivating. I wonder if they can deactivate their YouTube channels because we're going for them too. They can lose their monetisation over these human trafficking allegations."
