eTV telenovela Isitha - The Enemy is about to get a lot interesting after TikTok star Bhuti Omdala was cast on 18 August 2025.

Famous for his larger-than-life personality and hilarious online videos, the TikTokker will bring his unique charisma to one of South Africa’s most-watched dramas.

Briefly News got more details about the influencer's character from eTV publicist Tshegofatso Kolotse:

"His character, Kinati, is a 36-year-old con-artist who cleverly poses as a 9-year-old boy using his stature as a little person. With a dual personality, one as a shrewd hustler who loves smoking and drinking, and the other as a naïve, respectful child, Kinati thrives on deception."

Bhuti Omdala rose to prominence in 2024 with his skits and dance moves. He lives with a Growth Hormone Deficiency (GHD) or dwarfism that affects his physical appearance, making him look much younger than he is, though reports allege he's between 18 and 35 years old.

With no facial hair, a baby voice and an adorable, chubby appearance, Bhuti Omdala, like actor Themba Mncube, has led many online users into thinking he was a little kid, and his new character calls for that level of deceit.

Here's how fans reacted to Bhuti Omdala's acting gig

South Africans congratulated their favourite Boss Baby and look forward to watching him on Isitha.

Speaking about joining the show, Bhuti Omdala said it was a dream come true:

"Acting has always been a dream, and stepping into Kinati’s shoes is both thrilling and challenging. Kinati is unpredictable; he’s charming one moment and dangerous the next. I can promise viewers that he’s bringing nothing but fire, drama, and chaos into Thenjiwe’s life."
