An honest woman has described her deep dissatisfaction with her extensive body tattoos, sharing her journey of regret.

The video, shared on TikTok by @lexaterese, gained millions of views and thousands of comments from social media users, who had a lot to say.

In the clip, the woman, heavily tattooed from her neck and shoulders down to her hands and even on parts not immediately visible, revealed that she began her tattooing journey at the age of 18. She started her confession by noting the rarity of people sincerely discussing their dislike for their tattoos on social media before directly admitting her profound regret. She detailed that, from the tender age of 10, she struggled with feelings of not belonging and a search for self-identity, finding tattoos to be an escape from these internal conflicts.

She further acknowledged that it is uncommon for heavily tattooed individuals to vocalise such negative feelings about their body art. The woman also shared that, when people seek her advice about getting tattoos, she typically urges them against it. For some in doubt, she counsels them to wait until they are certain of their decision. She expressed a personal wish that she had received similar advice from someone in her youth. She also advised her two young boys against getting tattoos, though affirming she would ultimately respect their choices. She added that she had embarked on her tattoo removal journey, noting that the process was both painful and financially demanding.

"Hear me out, spend R7K and get your laser license. Get a part-time job at a Medspa with a pico device. Do your tattoo removal. Cheaper than paying to get them removed by someone else."
