The video posted by the lady herself under the handle @nash2020202vol shows her unpacking what appeared to be a generously filled packet of meat. However, upon closer inspection, she revealed that only six large, meaty pieces were placed at the top of the pack, while the rest of the contents consisted mostly of small pieces with minimal meat attached, allegedly.

While taking to her TikTok caption, she simply said:

"PnP did me dirty... Yoh, I am so disappointed."

According to her, the clever arrangement made it seem as though the pack was filled with substantial cuts, but beneath the top layer lay an assortment of scraps. She expressed feeling short-changed, especially given the high price she paid.

@nash2020202vol also revealed that she was too "lazy" to go and procure her meat at the butchery, which is why she opted for the local South African grocery that she mentioned in her caption above.

Many South Africans in the comments section echoed her frustration, sharing their own experiences of purchasing meat that looked plentiful from the outside, only to find less value for their money once unpacked at home. Some accused retailers of using “trick packaging” to make products appear better than they are, while others called for more transparency in how meat is packed and priced.

At the time of writing, the grocery store in question has not publicly responded to the allegations. However, the video continues to circulate widely, prompting more South Africans to speak out about their own shopping disappointments.

This latest incident highlights growing concerns over fair pricing and ethical business practices in the country’s retail food sector.
