Doda Nyoka, a local Afrikaans singer, wowed South Africans with his voice when he sang a song with Dutch artist Jet van der Steen. People online couldn't stop raving about the young man's talent.

On 19 August, 2025, Dodo uploaded a video on Facebook showing himself and Jet singing her song Twee April. While Jet sang the original track in Dutch, Dodo sang in Afrikaans.

The two are set to tour South Africa this year, kicking it off in Johannesburg and ending in Durban.

Dodo asked in his post:

"Do you have tickets for our tour yet?"

Who is Doda Nyoka?

Dodo Nyoka is an Afrikaans singer with roots in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Growing up in the Eastern Cape, the talented singer was fostered by an Afrikaans family and overcame a childhood speech stutter through singing.

Since his rise to fame, Dodo has released many hits, including Country Girl van Bloem and Janneman, which he dropped this year.

According to an Instagram post on 28 March, 2025, Dodo revealed that Janneman was a gift for his father, who he saw as an inspiration.

He wrote in the caption:
