They would exclude themselves from chores and spend most of their time lounging around as a group and speaking English. The young man expressed his annoyance two days ago in his now-viral video and shared how he dealt with his classist relatives:
“I used to wait until I was alone with them and smacked them.”
More people agreed with the man’s point of view and shared their experiences with their rich cousins in a thread of comments. Some people admitted to being the annoying relatives being spoken about in the video.

Youngster shares how classism in Black families has affected him
The young man, Iyazi Njovane, shared that the classism he experienced while growing up affected him:
“As a person who comes from a disadvantaged background, I have truly experienced what I was talking about in the video. Just because I was financially disadvantaged does not mean I should become a servant of my own family. To fight this, our parents need to teach the kids that when they visit a relative's home, they must participate in chores, too. That union creates a generation of families who stay together and don’t look down on each other.”
