MARBLE HALL, LIMPOPO — A 31-year-old man was arrested on 19 August 2025 in Marble Hall, Limpopo, for allegedly killing his 23-year-old pregnant girlfriend.

According to the South African Police Service, the incident happened in the RDP section of Leeuwfontein. The police received a call from a member of the community who told them that the woman was injured. The police arrived on the scene and found her lying in a pool of blood.

They called the Emergency Medical Services, and they certified her dead on the scene. When the police conducted investigations, they found that she was pregnant. They also discovered that he was arrested and charged with assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm. However, the victim withdrew her charges, and he was released from custody.

Men who allegedly killed their partners

The police arrested a Mandeni, KwaZulu-Natal man for allegedly murdering his ex-girlfriend, who went missing on 3 June 2025. Her brothers searched for her body and found her two days after she went missing at her ex-boyfriend's house.

A woman from Tsakane in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, was raped and murdered, and her lifeless body was discovered near a pedestrian bridge on 6 July. Members of the community heard screams and allegedly saw a man dumping a body. The community investigated and found the woman's lifeless body.

A member of the South African Police Service (SAPS) took his own life after murdering his girlfriend and her brother on 27 July at Protea Glen in Soweto. The man had reportedly thrown a birthday party for his girlfriend when he killed her.

"People are in pain, sorrows, courts, graves, hospitals, jails, mortuaries, and clinics in the name of love. What kind of love is this?"

"No withdrawal must be done in such cases."

"If you decide to cancel your case after the first assault, please leave him. He'll do it again until he kills you."

Limpopo man allegedly kills his police officer girlfriend
