Kaizer Chiefs have started the 2025-2026 Betway Premiership on a very good note as they secured all three points in their first two matches.

Nasreddine Nabi's side defeated Stellenbosch FC in their first match before getting the better of Polokwane City at the FNB Stadium as they keep 100 per cent record in the league this season.

In their first two matches, Nabi was not present as he's reportedly in Tunisia due to a family emergency.

Khumalo urges Kaizer Chiefs to stay grounded

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Bongani Khumalo has urged Kaizer Chiefs players to stay grounded and not let their recent good form get to their heads.

“It’s great to see the team doing well, but the players need to keep their feet on the ground,” Khumalo told KickOff.com. “The season is long — it’s not a cup tournament.”
"While there’s reason to be optimistic with how things have started, there’s still a lot of hard work ahead. The performance against Stellenbosch wasn’t convincing, even though the result was excellent."

The former Bafana Bafana star mentioned how the team were poor in the first half against Polokwane City, before they improved in the second half.
