A Non-Profit Organisation called Legacy Project claimed that the MK party logo belongs to them and not the MK party or the African National Congress.

The former mayor of the City of eThekwini, Zandile Gumede, appeared once more in court for her corruption case, where MK Party supporters heckled her.

The Durban High Court is expected to rule on 27 March on using the Mkhonto WeSizwe name by the MK Party. South Africans believe the ANC would win the case.

The African National Congress accepted that the IEC's registration of the MK party was lawful after the Electoral Court passed the judgement on 26 March.

The MK party allegedly opened a case with the IEC after their billboard in Dundee, KwaZulu-Natal, was allegedly removed. They are also investigating the incident.

The Electoral Court of the Supreme Court of Appeals ruled that the Independent Electoral Commission acted lawfully when they registered the MK party.
